Public consultation on Outdoor furniture, playground and park equipment

During the consultation period, Nordic Ecolabelling gives you the opportunity to comment on our proposal for new criteria for Outdoor furniture, playground and park equipment.
Nordic Ecolabelling are revising the requirements for Outdoor furniture, playground and park equipment. The product group comprises outdoor furniture, playground and park equipment intended for outdoor use, primarily in public environments but also for private use such as outdoor furniture like chairs, tables and benches, play equipment for both conventional playgrounds and nature playgrounds, outdoor gym and parkour equipment and climbing parks. You are welcome to respond to the proposal no later than July 30, 2026.

A compilation of the consultation responses, with answers from Nordic Ecolabelling and the names of the responding organisations, will be published on the Nordic Swan Ecolabel web page.
Most important issues we particularly want comments on
- Durability and wood protection methods.
- Recycled/biobased plastic.
- Chemical substances in recycled plastic.
- Test standards for safety and durability testing.
