Public consultation on Venues and conference facilities

During the consultation period, Nordic Ecolabelling gives you the opportunity to comment on our proposal for new criteria for Venues and conference facilities.
Nordic Ecolabelling are developing requirements for Venues and conference facilities. Nordic Swan Ecolabel Venues and conference facilities includes concert halls, conference facilities, theatres, museums, culture centres, exhibition centres and ice rink- and grass/soccer arenas. You are welcome to respond to the proposal no later than July 4, 2026.

How can response be sent in?
We look forward to receiving your response via this form: RESPONSE FORM. You can give your response in English or your Nordic language.
A compilation of the consultation responses, with answers from Nordic Ecolabelling and the names of the responding organisations, will be published on the Nordic Swan Ecolabel web page.
Most important issues we aim to receive input on are:
- Requirements related to energy and operation, including operation of ice rink arenas, and grass and artificial grass care.
- Requirement for water operation.
- Requirements for food and beverage, for both services operated by the venue and suppliers.
- Requirements for waste and resource efficiency, including takeaway solutions, decorations, repair and reuse.
- Requirements for purchase of ecolabelled products and services.
