Public requirements consultations

Nordic Ecolabelling's requirements for products and services are evaluated and revised regularly to reflect the latest knowledge and development in the market. In addition, requirements are developed for new areas.

The requirements are developed in a transparent process, involving experts from the industry, environmental and consumer organizations, authorities and other relevant stakeholders.

Nordic Ecolabelling offers the opportunity to respond to the consultation proposal. Your response is important both for the quality of the requirements and for the impact on the market. The final requirements will be approved by the Nordic Ecolabelling Board*.

All organizations and stakeholders who are interested in taking part in the development work of Nordic Ecolabelling requirements can provide us with their opinions and responses during the consultation period.

A compilation of the consultation responses, with answers from Nordic Ecolabelling and the names of the responding organisations, will be published on the Nordic Swan Ecolabel web page in connection with the publication of the new requirements.
